BIP - Resilience in Rural Mountainous Destinations

This Blended Intensive Programme on “Resilience in Rural Mountainous Destinations” is a joint initiative between the University of Dalarna, Université Lumière Lyon 2, and Università Degli Studi Di Bergamo. The programme is designed to provide master´s level students with a unique interdisciplinary and international learning experience. The students will focus on the specific geographic area of Sälen, Idre, Trysil and Engerdal (SITE) located in Sweden and Norway.

The program will combine a virtual phase with a short-term physical mobility period in Sweden. During the physical Mobility, students will engage directly with local stakeholders, exploring real-world challenges related to the resilience of rural mountainous destinations. The central activity will involve group-based, hands-on research resulting in a collaborative project. This approach will equip students with the skills to address complex, multi-faceted problems in a global context.
